Im currently prototyping selling insulation gaskets for XML2 XPG2 and XPL
The gaskets will come in a 14/16/20mm size
Military spec GITD material
self adhesive back
Manufacturers specs for the GITD material glow time is 10 hours (Not tested, will be soon)
Glows green
Aids finding your light in the dark
This is still a work in progress, hopefully available for people soon
Available now!
PayPal and contact email: [email protected]
(Please email or PM first to check stock)

Prices:
With PET gasket: (recommended- strength/durability)
x5 XML2 GITD insulation gasket + PET gasket 16mm £2.50
x5 XPG2/XPL GITD insulation gasket + PET gasket 14mm £2.40

PET Gaskets:
XPG2 size is 14mm
XML2 size is 16mm
Bear this in mind, anything of bigger diameter will have an 'overhang' of GITD material

The GITD gasket also stiffens the gasket as a whole so is a bit trickier to install
I can do pretty much any size if you want, just ask
I can also do small squares 2,3,4,5mm2 of GITD self adhesive material to sick on your light, again, just ask
The PET gasket option gives more strength and durability and is simply a plastic insulation gasket on top of the GITD one
Postage (based on 5 gaskets)
UK £1.00
International £2.00

Re: FS: GITD insulation gaskets XML2 XPG2 XPL (prototype)

Been waiting for someone to make a good one of these!
Are they flat with a square cut out? Or do they have a raised square that reaches into the reflector?
Can we get a pic of the GITD gasket?
Also I assume the PET is clear?
H.

Re: FS: GITD insulation gaskets XML2 XPG2 XPL (prototype)

It's the flat type, not a centering ring, so it will stop shorts from wires to reflectors but will not centre the LED, yes the PET gasket is clear, I will put up a pic when I have them ready, at the moment the 'prototype' looks a bit rough and not worthy of a picture!
Heres one on MTG2 though so it's a bit easier to see:

Just wanted to share, but the GITD insulation gaskets work really well with TIR lenses.

Here is a solarforce l2m with solarforce 4 mode xml2 dropin. I peeled the insulation aluminium tape off the dropin and unscrewed the reflector from the pill and installed the gasket between on the pcb. Lights up the whole reflector at night. :)
