A very dark world.
Maybe this belongs in the "Group Buys" section.

For all the folks here that complain about how the manufactures of the "common aluminum 2AA flashlight":
haven't done enough in terms of product innovation,
haven't brought out any LED based lights,
haven't made a light in their favorite color,
etc, etc, etc...
Instead of endlessly complaining, why don't we put our money where our mouths are, and just buy the company and then "influence" product development? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Anyone here a finance professional? Can someone calculate how many (thousands of) share each that we would have to buy?

dont think they are publicly traded, I cant find a ticker for them, and their homepage speaks the gospel of their founder. likely a privately held company.

Hee. A lot of the annoyance of CPF'ers towards that company though is the legal hassles they've caused for more innovative manufacturers. Buying the company, which means ponying up a pile of money to make the former owners rich, would mean rewarding those owners for those misdeeds. It's better to just not buy their products, so that company can fade away.
