Please help me!
I am currently designing a 4,5 volt 5.4 amp battery operated dining table lamp using 2 white LEDs 3.6 v 20 mAmp (5 mm), however I am unfamiliar with the manufacturers of the best LEDs and I am a little lost.

Can anyone recomend me a white LED which is not too blue or purpleish and which gives a good luminosity (the beam of the LED is directed on to the table) and where I get hold of them?

Thanks

Hi, I would suggest looking at http://www.hosfelt.com/Leds/led1.htm. I think that would be the cheapest way to go. Nichia LED's are the brightest, I think maybe http://www.photonlight.com/ sells them. I have a couple 12v LED lamps, from a single LED to 12 LED's and the single is really only a night light. If you are planning on using it for reading you will need more power and I would suggest 12v compact fluorescent.
