Really like the looks of the GX30A3D. The mode spacing was the reason I never bought an original GX25A3 but the modes on this one looks great. Also like the new UI and diffuser. I hope they aren't going to phase out the D25 line with the current UI, I find it to be way better than a side switch, I love my D25a2 clicky.

The new MX30L4XC is a monster looking light and may give the M43 a run for its money, the UI already looks better

The 12 Nichia M30L4XC has my name written all over it... though I find 4x16650 lights to be slightly large for my hands.

Must. Resist. :)

If reliability is good, Eagletac with the DX30LC2 might have gone and designed my perfect flashlight -- UI, performance, form factor, meets all my requirements. Never thought this day would come :)

No sub-lumen (moonlight) mode on any of them.

Yea that was my only complaint too Amelia, with the diffusers these lights would be perfect with a moonlight

Very interesting, for those of us who don't want a sub lumen mode on lights of this size anyway.

Super impressive throw for the 3aa, then its built in flood mode without a diffuser or focusing mechanism, I like it!

Yeah, for me, I don't care about sub-lumen, although I certainly wouldn't mind a "very low" lower than 7 lumens on the DX30LC2... on the other hand, for the use case I have in mind, I'm probably more interested in long runtime on very low, and 200+ hours meets my needs (although again, I woudln't mind a lower low with 400 hour runtime!)

Yep, that's were I am too...but these sound really nice! Upped the bar quite well. 1330 lumen GX30A3 it tempting to me. But I just got the 1150 lumen TNA4 just a while back. Oh well...

OTF lumens with the new ET at best equal what the Thrunite TN4As already put out then again the TN4A, which I love, has nowhere near 500 meters of throw. Ive got my dedicated throwers already. I really like that ET seems to be revamping the product line but could really have gone without the diffuser

The diffuser is actually the main attraction of the GX30A3D for me

I guess there is no right or wrong. Either you like a diffuser or you don't.

There is a guy with a lot of posts here who says he generally likes to use a diffuser when he uses a flashlight outdoors. He got my attention, because he has repeated it several times. Here are a few examples:

His nic is selfbuilt.

Finally no more twisty head for 1*18650 lights. I am replacing my D25LC2 with that new Dx30lc2 light.

I NEED IT NOW! I'll pay up for this one!! I really wish it was 5000K instead of 4500K, but good enough.

Usually I want a super low mode. But 19 ANSI lumens low on my MX25L3C Nichia is OK. So the 22lm on this one should be fine.

I'm guessing a solid $199? (nevermind, I see $230)

The product page still says "Twisty head & forward clicky switch". Come on and update that already :)

I had a 90CRI on my Noctigon M43 5000K. Loved it!
