Hmmm, is this the Color Kinetics "sauce" wand thing? This looks interesting:

OK I think I understand it now, it looks like a plastic wand, with attachments that can fit on the ends, the attachments can be pointing in or out and contain Red and Blue Led's in this case.

Says you can connect them together, that would be neat buy four or five and make a magic wand kind of thing.

Nope... this is a completely different animal. The Sauce LightWand has three LEDs inside, controlled by some kind of microcontroller running various programs.

All of the functions are accessed by pushing the button just below the "wand" portion, and the whole mess runs from a single "AA" cell.

Both of these would make great party lights, and both are probably about equally breakable. Swinging the LazerLite around would probably result in the working parts being ejected and flying across the room where someone will probably either steal it or stomp on it.

Swinging the Sauce around is fine, at least until you hit something hard, which at very minimum would break off or eject the "wand" portion of the light, causing it to fly across the room and get stepped on.
