One question,

I am playing around with the programming on my mk3 and would like to know the max safe zone and the total max for the different emitters.

Thanks!

This is from Dave in the what's new thread:

"The drop down and limits are not changing much from the V2. The constraints are heating based for the flood.

Any emitter can run for 60 seconds at a level programmed above the drop down level.

The limits for programming are:
Flood: 1700mA
Reflector: 1500mA
Spot: 1800mA

There is no change from the V1 and V2 lights in terms of daily use. Just like before these limits are marginally safe. If you stick with the default programming you do not need to be concerned with heat, the light takes care of itself. If you go up from the default programming then please watch how hot the light gets! if it is uncomfortable to hold please let it cool off.

Cheers
Dave"

But I think there might be a more detailed manual coming out in the future.

Just for reference , cut and paste from " SPY Tri-V Instruction Manual " 3D :

"

Programming Limit Tri-V :

• flood 2000mA
• reflector 1500mA
• spot 2000mA
• flood & reflector 3000mA
• flood & spot 3000mA
• reflector & spot 2000mA
• all three together 3000mA

"

Programming Limit Tri-V2 :

flood limit = 1500 ;
reflector limit = 1500 ;
spot limit = 2000 ;
flood & reflector limit = 2500 ;
flood & spot or reflector & spot limit = 2000 ;
all limit = 3000 ;

I just got my V3 and some of the values are different. I can't remember off the top of my head all of them but the flood is 10mA vs 5mA for the Tri-V2. I'm guessing all the other values will be slightly different.

I would really like it if Dave chimes in on this with a Tri-V3 manual
