I just stumbled upon the following report of an unfortunate San Diego RC hobby shop that burned down after the owner (Jim Bonnardel) stepped out for 10 minutes while charging a LiPo on Jan 16, 2015. Alas, even folks with decades of experience can make mistakes. The first link has a photo and video, and a brief description of the circumstances. (I have no connection whatsoever to the shop or fundraising effort - it is the only link I found with such detailed info).

the walls are wooden and dry, they ignite right away. in a brick and mortar environment maybe only the 1 battery would have burned down plus the charger.

but i don't know for sure
