The two cells do not match perfectly (With 26650 it is difficult to get perfectly matched cells) but the capacity is fairly constant within rated load. The protection prevent drawing 7A for a long time.

Conclusion

The cells are sligtly below rated capacity, but they are some of the top capacity 26650 cell and for single cell low current (up to 5A) usage, they work fine.

5500mAh? Dream on Soshine.

It does look like a good 5000mAh battery, but according to the HKJ-Comparator, it lags a little behind the protected Keeppower 5200 in both voltage and capacity.

Yey finally a review of these, thank you HKJ!

They look decent and offer a lot of mah for the price, they are also quite short.

But if you want the best protected 26650, it seems the keeppower ones will still be your best choice (even more so now that they have a new "short" 69,5 mm version).

I have to admit that these batteries are somewhat of a disappointment, especially considering the somewhat promising preliminary numbers over on the other forum. Still, 5000mAH isn't too bad - especially considering how short some batteries fall from their ratings (ie '-fire' batteries). But the Keeppower 5200mAH batteries still seem to be a better way to go - easier to get, higher capacity, better voltage, and available in unprotected form.

Thank you again HKJ for this review; these seem like very good batteries if you want protected ones at 5300mAh. The shorter size makes this protected battery fit most 26650 lights. I have yet to find the Keeppower protected version at 69.5mm for sale.

I have begun using these batteries and have been pleased so far with them; they are the only protected 26650 battery under 69mm in length.

Great review ! Looks like these are great bang for buck ! I got a second set for my Convoy L6 as a back up to my Keeppower 5200s

I Had one battery Leak and 2 that hold very little charge. Not rushing to buy more in a hurry.

I bought 2 of their 16340s back in 2012, but pretty much never used them. I was more "trusting" of the lower priced, not-so-brand-name batteries back then. But just weeks after I'd bought them, I did more research on Li Ion batteries in general, and as a result, I became leery of the 2 Soshine 16340s. Don't know if that leeriness was justified or not, but it wasn't much later that I had my name on the original pre-order list for the SC52 mk1, so I began using brand name 14500s soon after.
