As I'd considered similar things this video fascinated me. Start to finish with parts list. Quite a few possibilities here for more powerful LEDs and battery set ups. Not to mention small water cooled systems with water proof fans for outdoor all weather use.

Good video but for me I don't see the point of a dimmer & a bit too much modification of the regulator.
The switching method of going from spot to flood mode is pathetic really.
I plan to build a twin chip version in the new future, messing with optics at the moment. :)
