Another new idea of Klarus:

can you translate the red & green output into Lumens?

• WHITE light utilizes CREE XP-L HI V3 LED, Maximum output of up to 700 lumens, beam distance up to 500m
• RED light utilizes CREE XP-E2 P4 LED, Maximum power of up to 3000mW, beam distance up to 225m
• GREEN light utilizes OSRAM LT CP7P LED, Maximum power of up to 3000mW, beam distance up to 345m

You can, but the numbers are absurd, so I suspect the 3000mw is actually the input power to the LED. 3000 mw of output is about 1500 lumens. I am sure if they had 1500 lumens out of an XP-E2 they would be advertising the fact.
The Cree data sheet shows 3 watts as the maximum INPUT. . however we can probably back into the likely lumens from the inverse square law .
225/500=.45 .45^2 = .2025, so the likely lumens output for Red is about .2025 x 700 or 142 lumens.
The spec sheet for P4 says 80 lumens at 350ma, 3000mw input will require a Vf of just about 2.7 volts and a little over 1 amp drive current. Given the loss of efficiency at the higher drive levels, and the
less than 100% efficiency of the optical system, 142 lumens does not seem unreasonable.

Appling the same methodology to the Green emitter:

345/500= .865 .865^2= .743 x 700=521 lumens. for Green.

The FH10 is pretty interesting. The LEDs are mounted to an aluminum plug that you actually push through a tube on the underside of the reflector to select the color. Definitely a method I haven't seen before.

you can see the Brinyte B158 lumens test in this review.

Found a graphic showing the modes -- says red high is 100 lumens, green high is 160 lumens.

OTOH this Brinyte B158 with adjustible spot to flood has screw-out white 900 lumen, red 340 lumen, green 300 lumen pill holders with higher output:

Hope somebody tests all these side by side, including the Fenix FL (but its only white).

The Klarus seems to be optimized for throw with an aspheric lens. Wonder how many lumens the adjustible Brinyte loses when throwing?

Wondering about what are the brightest green color LEDs made today.
