Hello Chewy78,

The predecessor to the Titanium BC-2HU was the Vanson Speedy Box. I have toasted more than a few D cells using that charger. I don't think it charges at a rate fast enough to give a strong end of charge signal.

The 808 charges at 2000 milliamps and that seems to work very well.

The BC-2HU charges at 750 milliamps and I have had problems with D cells at that rate.

The 906 charges at 1000 milliamps. I think this is a little low for D cells but it is better than 750 milliamps.

Is this the same Titanium as used to make the PowPower 2400mAh AA batteries? I was wondering if they were still in the business - hope so.
