Hi ,
between a Nichia 219a hcri 4500k at 92+ , and a Nichia 219b v1 4000k at 93+ ( with the R9 addition),
which one would give the better colour rendition?.
the 219b v1 with the r9 makes reds stand out more right?.
but overall better rendition I'm not sure.

4000k is warmer but would that matter making it closer to better cri than at that at 4500k?.
henry hds has a 4000k 93+ 219b r9 in his hcri 200.

im also looking at 5000k hcri led's such as the 219c!.

thanks.

Thanks, so if 219a hcri 90+ 4500k, and a 219B 93+ 4000k r9 hcri are together, the colour rendition would be better all round on the 219B right?, or would the red only make the difference?.
thanks.

I'm not sure. You would that because of high cri rating but I don't the think the CRI index can accurately represent color accuracy for leds. There are new standards in work to replace the one we're using. https://www.cinema5d.com/led-light-accuracy-tlci/
Do you know where get a light with Nichia 219b v1 4000k w/r9? I've having a hard time find one. There are 2 versions 9050 and 9080. I was looking for the 9080. People that was lucky enough to get it said it has a strong rosy tint compare to the 219a. If you like your name want neutral white you might not want it.
