    Default Test/Review of Imren IMR18650 3500mAh (Green)

    Imren IMR18650 3500mAh (Green)

    Official specifications:
    • Brand: IMREN
    • Weight: 50g
    • Capacity: 3500mAh
    • Length : 65.22mm
    • Diameter: 18.19mm
    • Voltage: 3.7V
    • Excellent high-current discharge performance
    • Model: 18650
    • Material: Li-Mn
    • Discharge rate: 30A

A high capacity and very high current cell from Imren.

The two cells are fairly close at low loads, at higher current they do not match as well.
During the 20A discharge the cells stops (Probably vents) and the output voltage is 0, no more testing was possible. The good thing is that the safety in the cell works, the bad is that these cell can never deliver 30A.

Due to the failed cells I could not make these charts.

    Conclusion

The cells looks fine as high capacity cells, but they do not really handle high current.

    Notes and links

The battery was supplied by Imren for a review.
Because Imren changed the wrapper after they shipped the batteries to me, the above pictures are taken by Imren.

Your test results confirm some informed speculations from another battery reviewer/tester:

"...There are at least two versions of the green Imren 30A 3500mAh battery. In my opinion, one is a 10A 3300mAh Panasonic NCR18650GA and the other is a 10A 3500mAh LG MJ1. Each Imren's appearance is identical to its match and the Imrens' performances are about equal or worse than their match. The voltages of both Imren versions completely collapsed when discharged at their 30A rating. ...In my opinion it's best to treat this as a 10A battery…"

Decent performance but suspect manufacturer ratings would lead me to pass them up for more honest providers.

    Good review as always.
