princeton tec apex beeping?

my apex is beeping intermittently it runs on 4x aa's i am currently using alkaline batteries and the light seems to have plenty of juice left in the batteries. I tossed the instructions long ago.... Can anyone please advise?

Know can download current user manual. Can likely contact their support or search for an older version. Or just call.
