Gonna keep this short;

The 2C V2 works just fine with the battery extension and two cr123 batteries in it. Yesterday I removed the extension tube and one battery, leaving me with a smaller light. But when I turned it on, it wouldn't access the turbo or high modes, and whenever i tried to change the mode, the light would flash a bunch of times before going to low. After Googling, I read a review that stated the Neutron's performance drops when it has only one battery in it, which is funny because the holster it comes with can only hold the 1x cr123 layout. Anyone with this light know what I'm talking about?

It sounds like a low voltage situation. MAYBE the light will run as expected on a single RCR123 battery, because it will start at a higher voltage, but overall for a shorter time.

I just took a look at the light....

  • Dimensions: 88mmx26.5mm(excluding extension tube)
  • Weight: 63.8g
  • Runs on: 1x18650(2600MAH)
  • Peak Beam Intensity: 11230cd
  • Max beam distance: 212m

A better bet would be to get a 18350 battery to run it in the short tube.
