Re: K70vn - Best Thrower Ever!

Coming from you.....man this is going to be one amazing light!

How is is the tint vinh, presume a re-focus and heat sink improvement ?

How are these monsters inside, all nicely made internally that most of us don't get to see, like Fenix in the quality department as an example.

In what way does it improve on the k50 v3? Maybe this is the reason no more v3....

Cant wait:)

That's certainly HID territory from a single LED. Are you able to boost? Or just spring bypass and heatsink?

Wow! My K40Lvn is a beast of a thrower and this beats is by over 15%, but the big deal is it has over 35% more lumens, making it much more useful than a pencil beam thrower!

I am sure its more than 15% brighter.

I measure like 380K with the K40vn (K40Lvn is a bit more) and 570K with the K50vn. That's 50% more lux. Lumen is also up 75% from 1400 to 2450

Fantastic video barretttx! I love the way you spliced the desktop review with the hilarious field shots, LOL

Vinh, I always thought my K40Lvn was an overachiever sample.

1670 Turbo @ 30 sec

How come no vn driver on this light? Is it because the xpl is pretty much close to maxed out anyways?
im actually quite surprised that your vn model is barely an improvement over stock, in terms of lukens and throw. They sure did a great job at the factory.
I only say this because on almost every other light, you completely demolish stock numbers.

as far as favorite thrower, it seems like the tm16gtvn should favor here.
It's 6000 lumens and 450k lux.
So 100k less than the k70 which is slightly noticeably at this range.
But 3500 more lumens than the k70 which is pretty noticeable.
