I hope everyone is doing well. I am in the process of setting up my new property, which is in a semi-wooded area, and has about 8 acres of land around it.
The driveway from the house to the entrance is about 250ft, and under the current setup, there is no electricity at the front gate, only at the house and the patio etc.
The area outside the house, i.e the front yard is very dark in the night.
Can anyone please suggest:
1) Dusk/nighttime lighting for the front yard, I presume this should be on a stand of some sort, as opposed to on the ground? Unless I put the lights along the pathway from the carport to the house.
2) Is there some lighting I can put along the driveway, and at the main gate?
Will I need to run electricity, or can I use solar lights?
I am not that picky about the style, etc. rather, I want high quality, good efficiency lights.
In due time, I will add a security system and maybe a motion detector with a minimum weight/size to trigger it.
