I own a Nitecore EA8 which really hasn't seen any use since I bought my TM16 last year. I use Amazon Basic LSD High Capacity 2500 mAh NiMH cells in it. The last time I recharged it was May, 10, 2015. [I keep a log of my cells because I am a geek and proud of it!] In light of my fiasco with the 14500 in my EA11, I decided to check all my lights yesterday. My ZTS Mini told me that all eight cells were at 80%, but my Xtar VC4 said they each took around 1200 mAh to recharge, which would be around 50%. Either way, that's pretty good for being on electronic lockout for almost a whole year.

I did a one year LSD shootout using new four new GP ReCyKos 2050mAh AAs, four new Eneloop Gen. 2 2000mAh AAs and four new PowerEx Imedion 2400mAh AAs.

The Eneloops lost about 13+% over that year, the GPs lost about 17% and the Imedions lost about 33%.

The HiCap LSDs fair a bit more poorly.
