Thanks for the update The Miller.

Patience is wise in order to avoid any QC problems.

    Looking really good!

1176 on the BLF list 24 on CPF, a round 1200, wow!

Tom baked a prototype to change its color, striped ano and polished the tailcap and ring around the switch, looks pretty sweet IMHO

    MODDED to look different:

LED’s, not perfectly centered but not bad. Centering pieces fit tight:

Round #3 still has great square threads:

And MRsDNF, Djozz and me also received our prototype/samplethat is 4 out of 7 and hopefully the rest receives theirs soon.A bug in the software became clear yesterday evening/todaySo Tom has to fix this, it seems not a huge thing (it is not possible to disable blinkie modes in ramping, not that it is a strobe that gets in the way, still a little code tweak is needed. So we are testing to see if there is more. For the rest, wow, the feel and operation is very nice.

The bronze colored one is just the black version that has been super heated. The black anodize turns brown, then a pumpkin orange. I did a small light for my son this way.
Until further notice, I am not accepting new mod requests.

That's very cool! What temperature did you heat it to? I assume you removed all the circuits first.

Yes. I removed the electronics and heated it in a toaster oven on the highest setting for about three hours. When it didn't get any more orange, I stopped with the heat.

    Yeah testing now.
A few bugs in Narsil, Tom got it, should be fixed in production

Hardware wise the 4 received are good enough to give the OK, 3 more to come and deeper inspections are to be done.

    Lists updated, 1349total, wowsers

Yes one can use an oven, I prefer the gas flames of a stove.
Much faster and one can simply remove the parts when they have the color one likes:
    Examples of some baked lights:

Scuffs and marks from months of use, flashlights seem to not like being carried in a pocket with keys and all sorts of metal EDC tools

    Before and after:

    left the original looks.
    middle the first one changed
right the previous EDC of my wife, she was very content with it but now has a Sunwayman C22C and Thrunite TN12.

Oh was asked about the GT.
    Let me updat here:
Lumintop is going to make the new Emperor of Throw
The price is set to $111
For this low price there is a limit, a max of 555 units will be sold at this price.
To give as much people the chance to get one we fill up several lists.
If somebody wants more then 1
    first is for main list
    second for backup lists

number of backup lists determined by the highest number of units somebody wants.
    Complicated yet fair.

Also, with TLF we have started a new project for s small cute elegant triple EDC light, the FW3A

The FW3A a TLF BLF special elegant triple powerfull flashlight
Honored and proud to be allowed to present the FW3A

A collaboration between TLF (Germany) and BLF (global)
Fritz15 made a small triple flashlight on his lathe.
TLF reacted very positive and at first a small hand made batch would be pursued.
Yet, this elegant design just screams for a wider audience.

For a lot of us mere mortals, seeing the cool things machinists make on their lathe is just a dream.
Hence the finish of the FW3A will be clear anodisation, no sanding/beadblasting before anodisation.
The idea is to give all the chance to have a light looking like it came of a lathe with the protection of anodisation.
Another very neat feature is the electronic tail switch and we plan on having it run Narsil!
    Very cool!
