I didnt want to use my iron and i was home bored so i decided id think of another way. All i did was use my electric stove top, put a piece of aluminium foil under it then kept raising the heat until i just hit the melting point of the solder. And well my results were flawless! This way i did not pinpoint a 700 degree soldering iron in one spot and make a discoloration on the star.
