Brinkmann 5-3-2

Today I was meandering through a small local hardware store, naturally including the flashlight section. Not much on the shelves, just a few cheap rayovac offerings. But on the bottom of the shelving unit in a basket was this brinkmann 5-3-2. I've never seen one before and looking at the package it looked quite clever. It's a 5 d cell light comprised of a head with switch, a 3 cell sized tube, a 2 cell sized tube, and the tail cap with spare bulb. It's all threaded together so you can make it take all 5 or 3 or 2 cells. Takes pr bulbs. For $10 bucks I said why not and it came home with me. Seems like a decent candidate for hot rodding.

Brinkmann was a great flashlight maker.
