LED types in headlights?

I'm curious about what current generation factory LED automotive headlights are using. Is there any crossover between high output flashlights and automotive headlights? What about the daytime running lights? Just curious what folks know about this, and how hard they drive them for that matter.

I know Osram is the maker of the New F150 LED headlights, and the maker of the Laser high beam booster in the BMW I8. http://www.osram.com/osram_com/press/press-releases/_trade_press/2014/the-worlds-first-pickup-with-full-led-front-lighting-from-osram/index.jsp

The F150 is using a version of the Osram Flat Black series LED's. I have not seen this LED used in any LED flashlights yet.
