Modder that demo'd at REI in Timonium MD?

When I started buying lights at REI, one of the employees told me about one of their customers giving demos on modding lights. This was a couple years ago, at the Timonium MD REI. I know this is a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone in the MD/DC/VA area knows of a modder/after market customizer/custom light maker in the area giving presentations at REI. I spoke with the same associate at REI several months ago and he said he hasn't seen the guy in a while. He said that he had a modified Fenix light.

Timonium eh? Not that far out from my neck of the woods. Would have thought Id heard of this. Do not know of local modders.
