surefire made me a offer to send in my old 8x and charger for a free g2x pro should i do it ?

You can get a G2x Pro for around $55-60 at Amazon.

Not worth the trade...youre holding something that could potentially be worth something after surefire has collected and disposed of enough of them... LOL

Also, technically not free. Youre trading a relic for a newer, cheaper piece of crap. If you want a g2x, pm me.

First question: Will the g2x meet the needs that the 8x was meeting?

Second question: The reason they want to swap is because they don't have any any more. Do you want to keep your piece of history as part of your collection, or maybe sell it to a collector that will treat it properly, instead of letting Surefire scrap it?

Final question: How have your needs changed since you got the 8x? Can they be met by one of the currently available lights that would be affordable enough to let you keep the 8x?

Ancillary question: What is wrong with the 8x? If it is just that the battery won't hold a charge any more, there are people available who can build another battery pack. If you are reasonably handy, you could probably build your own. If you can't find bulbs anymore there are ways and means to substitute other incan bulbs or switch to LED.

You should trades for a peacekeeper or something else rechargeable. That would better fit the other lights role.

i tried for that they only offered the g2xpro
