There have been releases from China, a few brands like Olight but none seem to breach 3000mAh capacity like the older L91 Energizer Ultimate Lithiums.
Energizer even released a newer improved version that pushes 3,300 mAh capacity and better high current performance.

So yes, still king of the hill.

My bad, I went to HKJ's site and reread the reviews.
Etinesan and Japcell brands breach 3000mAh but only at lower current.
Nice brand is 2700-2800mAh.

Don't remember how to see if they are the old or new ones, but either way you will be getting the best AA lithiums money can buy.
Maybe someone can chime in on how to see manufacture date.
What is the expiry date on the cells you got?

I've gone with the Ultimates and back a few years, they were 2024 expiry dates and that span has only increased.

I see them for $8 per quad and squirreling away a few quads, isn't all that much an issue for me and I pinch pennies.
