Hi all

I wanted to try out the new XP-L2 so I made this light.

Convoy S2+ host
Pocket Clip
Mosfet driver with Guppy2drv user interface
1,080 lumen output






The beam quality is pretty good. Fairly smooth. I was hoping the color blending would be better than the XP-G3 but its about the same.




I also have a spare XM-L2 light engine with a mosfet driver and around an 800 lumen output.

How deep is the reflector?

It's .454" deep with a .800" diameter.

Could you tell us what the XP-L2 gives that the XP-L does not? Will there be an XP-L2 Hi?

Sure. The XP-L2 has an increased efficiency of about 7% IIRC over gen 1. I don't know if there will be an L2 HI or not for sure.

Cool light at a great price. I have an S2 Convoy 18500 and really like it.
