Let's discuss this. For $67 it's hard to pass up. Just lug around a 12V battery and you've got what look so to be a GREAT spotlight.

I've been waiting and saving my pennies for an LED killer like the fenix RC40... but a 240mm HID spotlights for $67?!

Build quality - or lack thereof. The one I got was from China and looked like it had been made for an incan bulb and modified to accept an HID lamp. The lamp holder mods were pathetic. Gobs of plastic support hacked away. IIRC, it was focusable and when focusing, the lamp holder would flex, ruining the beam. Very ringy reflector. The one you linked doesn't say anything about focusing so maybe it's a different light but everything looks the same.

Do a search for a HyperBlitz.
It's similar to what you are saying you are after, but has a brute of a ballast
driving an hid at a legit 85-90 watts at the bulb. Uses a light force 240 blitz
spot light.
Mine puts out a measured 5.11Mcd at god knows what lumen level.
Not cheap.
A great alternative though, would be a blitz and the best quality hid kit
from eBay or amazon to fit that you could afford.
