This piece of steel already had a hole through the middle as I think it was meant for rings/jewelry.
I ended up having to use one of my boot retaining rings to create the switch shelf, but it worked out okay...
I worked on the body first, and this was the initial look. wasn't sure if I wanted any design so as to not clutter up the grain.
all the parts made. ready for etching.
This is the second try at the etch. the first did not take too well due to not leaving the surface rough enough. went back and re-sanded with 150 grit, and it took much better.
Oiled up with mineral oil, and awaiting parts for the engine.
