I just received an xtar vp2 and when unboxing it I noticed what appears to a clearish type of liquid running along the silver connectors of the chargers.

I wiped a bit off but there is still some liquid. Almost looks like vaseline.

Sorry for the strange question but anyone have an idea what this would be?

Safe to use this?

Are you talking about the contact points for the cells, the slider area, or the DC barrel connector?

It's probably synthetic grease, like Nyogel 760G.

You are not supposed to wipe it. That's a lubricant :) Otherwise your contact slides will become noisy and loose operation smoothness.
