I was answering another thread here and the thought struck me: What is different between a lithium AA primary and a CR123 primary, that one would have twice the voltage as the other. And please don't tell me that a primary CR123 is actually two cells in series. That would break my heart.

And if there is a difference, why can't they stuff whatever they use in a CR123 into an AA package as well. I would buy some in a New York minute.
