Bought some 18650s - are they any good?

...This question is my main reason for signing up here, so while I have no doubt about getting an answer, I just hope it's the answer I'm looking for.

I recently bought (so recently, they haven't even arrived yet) 8x 18650 batteries to use as replacements for the Fenix ARB-L2 2600 mAh's in my Fenix TK76 with extender tube.
But are they any good? The batteries are from a local, reputable vendor, so that part doesn't worry me...but I have little to no idea on how to read the details in the specifications, which are as follows:

Place of purchase (in norwegian, but with a spec. sheet in image form in english - didn't want to risk hotlinking anything, being a new boy and all that):
https://www.digitalimpuls.no/pc-kom...dbart-litium-batteri-grønt-141481-p0000156389

------------------------------------
  • Brand Name:VariCore
  • Nominal Capacity:3001-3500mAh
  • Set Type:Batteries Only
  • Battery Number:4PCS
  • Type:Li-Ion
  • Model Number:NCR18650B
  • Size:18.5*69.5mm
  • Rated voltage::3.7V-4.2V
  • Using voltage::2.75V-4.35V
  • Origin::Made in Japan

Part number: NCR18650BP

------------------------------------

So what I'm curious about is:
1. Are these the real deal when it comes to capacity and other specs and for use in my flashlight?
and
2: Are they protected as the page claims they are?

I couldn't see anything about a PCB in the spec. sheet, and it's only stated in the description (translated):
"18650-battery, 3.6V, ~3400mAh, protected"

Need enlightenment, thank you. :) :candle:

dayton oh
good you got 4 matching as that light is 2s2p.
but if they are really ncr18650b DO NOT CHARGE TO 4.35V!
they are 4.2v cells.
ignore the "using voltage"
ncrb are fine in that setup.

If those are they in that picture, they sure look like they have a PCB protection circuit under the wrapper. FWIW: keep in mind, Pics & wrappers can all be "manipulated". Also, when I read the description, it clearly states they are protected. Assuming that applies to the batteries.

As I see "do NOT mix batteries of different makes and capacities" almost everywhere, I am extremely careful about always using identical batteries in all of my multi-battery devices.
Especially when using 8 of them. I also take care to charge all of them, and not just, say, the 4 from one battery carrier when the light is starting to get low on power.

As for the charging Voltage...yeah, I been reading through this site for long enough to make me sceptical about that 4.35 V. Sounded WAY to high to me.
I got a Fenix ARE-C2 charger, and as I leave that to its own devices, I trust it knows this too.

I'll post some images of better quality when the batteries arrive (though my 18-250mm lens isn't very happy about closeups).
Hopefully that will shine some more light (I do love memes) on the question of whether they really are protected or not.

Thanks so far, y'all. :)

P.s.
I made the final decision and bought these 8 based off this review:
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...Panasonic-NCR18650B-Protected-3400mAh-(Green)

...but as I was only 80% certain they are the same ones (as I was unable to see the "MH12210" marking due to the appaling image quality on the ones I bought),
it was a gamble. Hopefully they'll turn out to be the same when they arrive early next week.

My batteries just arrived! And the good news is, they do look just like these:
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...Panasonic-NCR18650B-Protected-3400mAh-(Green)
And the best part is, considering they were labeled with a warning about the length: They fit in my Fenix TK76. ^^

However, I was left with another question: Following this thread:
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?349456-Do-i-take-this-plastic-off-these-18650s

...DO I remove the clear plastic from them? I've not encountered any batteries yet with such a plastic wrap that wasn't meant to be removed before.
But as these didn't seem to want to come away easily or obvious way of removal, that suggests it's meant to be there.
So I've left the wrapping there, until told it's safe or I'm meant to do otherwise from anyone with the knowledge here.

They do take charging, but I did have to wiggle them more than any other battery I've ever tried to charge before they got a connection.
Seems like the wrapping builds a little too much on both ends of the battery for the pins on the charger to reach easily.

Second question, now that I've received them, is: Are these protected cells?
Everything I can see (and read from the above links) tells me that they are, especially the metal strip underneath the clear plastic layer (the PCB connector, I think), but I do not know for sure.

EDIT:
Just finished charging the first set, and the Fenix ARE-C2 stopped at 4.2 Volts (seeing that came up as a comment as something to look out for).

And the TK76 lights up as happily as ever, reporting all is well with the charging.
