User manual lists any 14500 rechargeable as battery option. It is about 5mm longer than the IMR 14500 from Nitecore. Did any of you had similar experience with this light? What other options (reasonably priced) would you recommend in rechargeables?
Thanks: darkshot

I just tried the high drain 650mah Olight 14500 in mine and it fit, however this Olight battery has a very low profile button top and I seem to remember other Olight cells with a much more prominent button top that would add more to it's length.
To answer your specific question, I usually use Efest 700 mah IMR 14500 V2(red) or the Efest 650 mah IMR 14500(purple). IMRBatteries has been a reliable source for batteries for me. They have sales quite often(if not on sale the 14500's can be a little pricy $6-$7). Because of a lot of users reporting significant parasitic drain, I always store my EA11 & my EC11 with the tail caps loosened. Not only does it protect from parasitic drain, but when you tighten it before use the flashing red battery indicator always let you know how much juice is left. Good luck!

Works on mine.
I have also been using flat top IMR 14500 with my EA11 and it has been working fine for 2+years.

Looking at your pictures, it seems my Olight has a longer protection circuit. I just got in two new Nitecore IMR 14500's-$11.50 shipped. Works like a charm. I am going to adopt your practice of locking it out. I think not locking it out was the reason I lost the original battery so soon.
Thanks again: darkshot

The photo is a little deceiving, the Olight is by far the tallest cell I have...btw, the EC11 head is interchangeable with the EC20 body for the red/white led combo & long runtime....

One other note: My Nitecore EA11 has enormous parasitic drain for some reason. In 5 days it drained an unprotected 14500 to nothing so I had to discard it. I suggest using tailcap lockout if you don't plan on using it for awhile.
