    Default Test/review of Efest IMR14500 650mAh (Purple) 2017

    Efest IMR14500 650mAh (Purple) 2017

    Official specifications:
    • Capacity: 650mAh
    • Charging Voltage: 4.2v
    • Maximum Discharge Current: 6.5A
    • Maximum Pulse Current: 9.75A
    • Maximum Charge Current: 650mA (1C)
    • Recommended Discharge Termination: 2.75v

14500, i.e. AA sized LiIon batteries from Efest, rated for good capacity and high current.

The discharge curves tracks kust about prefectly and the batteries can deliver nearly 7A before capacity starts to drop. This looks good.

Temperature also looks fine at 7A

    Conclusion

Performance looks very good on these cell, both capacity and current handling is good.

It's good to see that Efest has printed a realistic capacity and discharge current on these batteries. I hope they continue with this trend.

The question is, who makes these cells, and are they initially designed for such a large currents?

Remember Efest selling relabeled NCR18650BE cells as high current ones, when these were not such current able at all?

These are great cells. The best 14500 that I have tried.
