I pad 4 replacement batteries are cheap and are natively about 3.7v 11.5 amphrs. And their slim form factor is exactly what I need for my led project. but how the heck do I recharge them since they are used outside of an ipad?
would this device work well? http://www.ebay.com/itm/122534894430

Incase you are curious here are more details: Basically I've mounted 3v 3w led cob strips onto a mirror and I use the light to take selfies.

These are the leds I am planning to use https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10X...lgo_pvid=485e0330-8b0a-49e9-9ee4-9539c8edfe61

thanks for any help!

Lipos are for all intents and purposes, the same. What's needed is a simple charge/discharge circuit and an appropriate 5v supply.
Most batteries for cell phones have that circuit board built in but if they do not, any single cell cc/dc board will work.

Hobby charger for LiPo batteries. They are common for radio control models.

thanks so much for replying. above is the photo of the ipad 4 battery. it is made up of 3 cells each almost 4a, for a total of 11.56a. 3.7v.
there appears to be a charging bus already on the printed circuit board.
How fast of a charger can I use? I know 1amp will be slow so I thought this 2amp would be good

If I use this charing board do I have to remove the ipad buildt in bus and just have this charging board going directly to ipad battery? or do I leave ipad charing bus in place?
below is description of the charger

most hobby lip chargers are huge! I want it to be small so I can integrate it into my handheld selfie mirror. AND I'd prefer a simple usb cable to charge as well.

Do you need to run the lights on batterie?. Can you not just use a mains PSU of the correct voltage and current?
Just thinking outside the box.

Sorry, thought the mirror was on the wall, forget I spoke.

the mirror is small and handheld. the leds will be on the very top. I'll probably 3d print a small holder. this is why I am using a thin lipo battery so it can fit inside of this handheld mirror.

or am I totally over thinking this? maybe I can just hook up 5v power to the integrated circuit? no need for me to buy separate charger? how would I test this? just try and hope batteries don't explode? lol. gotta be a safer way. I know basics of using multimeter.
