I know you'll be shocked, but I have a non-rechargeable battery question.

Hi,

Who makes the longest lasting, non-rechargeable batteries for flashlights and lanterns?

I'm guessing it will be someone who makes non-rechargeable lithiums but I'd also be interested in learning who makes decent alkalines too, if only because of the cost factor.

I'm interested specifically in D batteries.

Thanks

40 or so people looked at this ... and not one reply.

Believe me, I'm not asking this out of idle curiousity....

Hi mickey,

I notice that you've recently opened 4 new threads with overlapping topics about lanterns, in a very short period of time.

Before that, you opened 6 new threads about 18650 flat-tops, all covering essentially the same ground.

This tends to dilute and diffuse effective discussion, thus likely resulting in less responsive help in answering your questions.
