OK, I'd really like to modify my 2C mag to hold more batteries and it appears that the switch assembly needs to go. Hopefully I can remount the bulb holder in a really short collar in the front of the tube & gain about 2/3C or more space. There is room for 3Cs if the switch assembly is completely replaced with a Hotlips (might need some room in tailcap, too). So the question is, who can make a tail cap switch for the magC? I saw Unnerv's adaptation of a Kroll to his DaMag but I would really like something simpler like the tail switch for my FT-3C. If I can mod the tail cap using my drill press (no lathe for a while, yet) in that fashion, I may well do that. Is there any tailcap that would fit, or does anyone else have any ideas? -RussH

If you can set up light to be on full time, then you can simply unscrew the tail down slightly and it will break contact. Screw down to turn light on.
