Optical fibre bolts!

Good day!

I am a new user in need of help from fellow forum members!

I am working on a project, in which I need to make modules and bolts to light a path.

1). I have M10 standard hex bolts which I made holes in to.
My goal is to fill the bolts with a substance to create optical fibre effect.(to determine a process to make the best shape - convex/concave or flat) The fill must not affect the hex slot for the allen key!

2.)I need to make a module (copuling system to attatch to the inside side of the bolt to transfer light to the head of the bolt)

My questions:

1.)Which material is best for mopulding in to the bolt

2.) which coupling method is best for this application!

Sketches and photographs will be attatched to the thread in a couple of hours!

Thanks in advance

Boris

Are these real working bolts, or is it OK if they just look like bolts?

Zdravo!

First of all thank you mods and admins for the privilige!

Second, I drilled M10 x 70 hex bolt screws on a CNC lathe with very rugged tools, and these screws will be used as fasteners!

The design is very over dimensioned (calculations made before hand-mechanical engineers) but I would not discuss the application at this time!

Still havent had the time to take photos of the work done till now!

I would really appreciate help!

Thanks in advance
Boris

You want light to come in the end of the bolt where it screws in, and to have it shoot straight out the top through the hex slot? Is this correct?
