What is the ANSI/FSC standard?

Hi all,

I'm familiar with the ANSI/PLATO FL1 Standard (formerly ANSI/NEMA). However, I've seen some flashlight companies refer to "ANSI/FSC" when providing specifications on their products. I've been unsuccessful in locating any information on an ANSI/FSC standard that deals with lights.

Can anyone help me out? Maybe point me to the right ANSI spec?

Thanks!

Factor Equipment is one. I've seen some of the older Fenix manuals state the same, though it looks like the company is using the FL 1 standard now.

Previously Factor claimed adherence to the ANSI/NEMA FL 1 (2009) standard, but I had my doubts after testing the company's lights and talking to PLATO about the way Factor was reporting its information.

I'm wondering if "FSC" stands for Flashlight Standards Council or something. This could provide a company a way of suggesting it adheres to the FL 1 standard without doing anything that would give PLATO cause to step in.
