Battery Size ?

I have been researching battery sizes looking for a battery for this old small flashlight. It is probably at least 12 years old. the diameter of the inside of the flashlight is 13.8 mm. The depth of the battery is hard to tell, I can say a AAA battery is to long as the cap will not screw on with a AAA inside. A AA battery is to big in diameter as well as way too long. If anyone has a idea of what size battery fits the flashlight please let me know.

Trying to get a good estimate of depth (such as marking something like a small dowel or pencil) could perhaps be done

Are there any markings on the light? What type of light is it?

Perhaps a stack of LR44 button cells? You'd need to make sure before attempting, as giving it too much voltage may zap it.

Closest to what you described is 4LR44 (alkaline) or 4SR44 (silver oxide) ~6 volt.
As mentioned above, make sure the flashlight bulb is 6 volt.
There is tiny chance of 1.5 volt N size.
