Default Surefire G2X - open up

    Hello everyone,

could someone please give hint on how to open up Surefire G2X so I can change LED module, there is 0 info on how to do it and I don't want to break my flashlight.

I have bought replacement module from TrustFire for my G2X and also Ultrafire 17670 batteries to make it rechargeable.

Thank for helping out in advance!

It's glued on with a hard locktite epoxy.

Heat can soften it a bit. Yet it softens the nitrolon too. So you'll probably leave scars removing.

Some use hot water, others a hair dryer.

If your “replacement module” is a P60 style drop in made for G2/6P, it won’t work on a G2X without more involved modification. The G2X will run well on a 17670 in stock form.

I got mine apart by leaving it in the freezer for about a day. Wasn't to difficult to separate when I took it out.

    Hadn't thought of that skillet.
Perhaps the epoxy shrank and bond was thereby broken?
