I'm looking to buy a colored flashlight but want something which is difficult to see from a distance.
Which color should I chose?

What is your purpose?

I'd like to comment but am considering that this thread could possibly be read by folks intent on bad stuff and DO NOT want to present any information that would help them.

Difficult to see with what?

- naked human eyes
- naked eyes / binoculators
- a specific species of animal
- cameras/surveillance equipment

What do you intend to use the colored flashlight for?

Without knowing the intent the question is impossible to answer with any accuracy or meaning.

In darkness, least visible red, most visible yellow or yellowish green: this is why many fire trucks are now greenish yellow instead of red. In daylight, red is still the least visible, but may seem more visible than other colors because of contrast (red is not as common in nature as some other colors and may stand out better for this reason), most visible in daylight green or yellowish green.
