First post!

A family member recently gave me a Convoy S2+ with some batteries. And in the same day, I also scored a free Nitecore D2 charger from a friend. I like them both! However I quickly discovered that I knew very little about LED flashlights and 18650 batteries but thanks to my friend, Google, I've determined that this particular light has...

(4) 7135 chips which means it is 1400mA
(2) mode groups - Low/Med/High & Low/Med/High/Strobe/SOS

The only remaining question is - what tint is the LED? Is there an easy way to determine this? My guess, based upon the color, is that it's the high kelvin XM-L2 U2-1A or 1B but would like to confirm if possible.

Welcome to the site.

For many this is a "duh thats easy" question, but not really. Sure we've been exposed to all things tint wise and such. But what if we hadn't? Would it be so easy?

There is a thread about an upcoming HDS light with 2700 3000 etc in the title. That one has beam shots showing what a particular tint looks like. It may help answer the question.
