Exclamation Planned Maintenance & Forums Closure

I will be closing the forums for posting later today (this evening?), Monday April 23rd. I will be working on restoring the search function.

As usual you can go to the CPF FaceBook Page to hang out and for updates.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

Indexing is currently taking place. The forums have to be on for this process to run. Things might be running a little slow while this is all happening - it's a pretty server intensive process. I will not be turning the search function back on until the indexing is complete and has been thoroughly tested.

I may need to turn the forums back off if all doesn't go as planned - and there may be a couple of server reboots as well.

    Thanks again for your patience.

Thanks Greta, I hope it wasn't too arduous.
Just out of interest, how often does the "New Posts" page refresh?
    Thanks,
    P

Some would say "aha! She's a screaming meanie".
Others would say "that's just her razor sharp wit".

A screaming meanie is from the Beatles movie Yellow Submarine btw.

Thanks for re-activating the search feature.

I think it's like 30 minutes? It requires a "mini" indexing. Our new server handles it really well (I have to admit I'm impressed!) but that's still no reason to have it run more often.

Glad to have the forums back up and running. Facebook is a dreadful, dreadful place to navigate.
