Hey guys so I just got a new fenix Ld12 and two fenix arb-L14-800 which are rechargeable aa 14500 batteries but only 3.6v. My klarus has a charge setting for li-ion 3.7v, I pop the fenix battery in to charge and that is the selection it uses. Is this safe? To charge the 800mah 3.6v on a 3.7v klarus setting??

Side note—I never just toss a battery on the charger and leave. It's always close by so I'm not worried about a fire or anything extreme. Just want to get the most from my batteries.

thanks all
Harry

Yes use the 3.7V setting. It's the correct chemistry setting for that battery. Also use .5A current It's a little high for a 800mAh LiIon battery by no means dangerous. I have a Klarus K1 it's been a while since I have used it so I don't remember if the default current is .5A.

Who knows why Fenix calls that a 3.6v battery. Fenix calls some of their lithium ion rechargeable cells 3.6v and some 3.7v and all charge up using typical lithium ion chargers with termination voltage at 4.20v. I once emailed Fenix on the source of the cell in their 14500 battery and they said it was a Sanyo cell......which is very common in other 14500 batteries that are called 3.7v.
