    Default NEW-18650 Vapcell 2800mah Sony US18650VTC5D

Just got these today. According to "MOOCH" From the vape world it hits harder and lasts longer than the VTC5A and its performance is about equal to the VTC6A.

MOOCH'S preliminary tests rate it ~ 25 Amp continuous.

    Discharged at 1 amp.

I tested the 2800mah rated VTC5D from illumn.com on my Xtar Dragon VP4 Plus with discharge at 1A and got these values 2855mah, 2775 mah, 2842 mah, 2866 mah. They are about 300-350mah less than the Haikelite included VTC6 button tops.I tested performance of the VTC5D vs VTC6 using ceiling bounce
    410lux vs 390lux Emisar D4
    345lux vs 320lux Sofirn C8A

Both cells fully charged, the VTC5D has a clear lead in performance. Now I can’t wait to get my hands on some VTC6A.

I also tested the KeepPower 3120mAh rewrapped Sony VTC6 Protected button top cells from illumn.com and got 3056 mAh, 3080 mAh, 3073mAh, 3043 mAh. These are about 150 mAh less than the Haikelite included VTC6 button tops.

Thanks for the info and testing. It does not surprise me that your numbers with the Dragon[exception 2775mAh which was one of my readings] was ~ 120mah higher than my other reading.

Sal, from Orbtronics tested his Orbtronic IMR 26650 30A 5750mAh on his dragon and got 5922Mah and 5961mAh in the ONLY visible readouts and I got 5885mAh in my Opus w/ the same battery. Not a huge difference but from several examples that I have seen the Dragon is always higher and slightly less accurate to SPECS.

I considered getting a Dragon but I want to see ALL info for ALL 4 batteries at once!

Thanks for the info.Looks like it performs better in a modded light where more amp draw is required.

Please post your tests when you get the lumen tube. The cost for 5D is a few dollars More($9.99) than the VTC5A which is becoming less available.

VTC5A delivered higher current than VTC5, and I was expecting a similar improvement with VTC5D. Instead it is higher capacity, but lower current rating. This is better for low current devices like torches, but it looks like VTC5A and VTC6 would be better for high drain devices like e-cigs / vaping.

According to MOOCH the VAPE/BATTERY GURU,,,The VTC5D is BETTER THAN VTC5A and is Certainly better as far as amp draw than the VTC6.
