Reading on Amazon of the Surefire Sidekick dying after about 12 months. Not holding charge. Has this been a problem round here?
Search function not working.

Twelve months you say? From the surefire.com product page:

Backed by SureFire's No-Hassle One-Year Guarantee

Looks like the Sidekick and perhaps the Guardian are meant to be disposable lights without a user replaceable battery. I'm curious whether Surefire will offer to fix or replace a one year old light.

I think I already know the answer...

Which is why I stay away from non-replaceable battery powered lights.

Unless I meant to use it as a disposable.

I've been using one for over a year without a problem. I don't have to charge it frequently, so maybe it is just a function of how many times the battery is cycled.
I too am curious if Surefire will offer a battery replacement option for a reasonable fee.
