Reason is I find it difficult to think about operating the pseudo momentary when identifying a target when charged with adrenaline. The click and click and hold is too much to think about in that moment.
That is exactly why we have true momentary in the light. Anything else with a firearm is just destined for disaster!

Agreed. In that situation, I believe a flashlight should have two functions: On and Off.

Just wondering. At what temperature does an HDS shut down to protect itself and how exactly does it do this?
If i had one day left to live i would want to be at my workplace.Because every day is like a frickin eternity.

So I guess I’m a dope. I ordered a bezel to have a spare setup for my diffused reflector. No lense. Smh.

Just order a lens then, email HDS so we can refund the shipping, and also ask for the 2 O-rings you will need.

Ultra Violet 365 nm. Henry hand picked them for his own light. Dan asked him to purchase more of them for sale. There are many UV light available now in the market in the 365nm wavelength. Henry will probably make the best one available on the market.

I read somewhere about some old HDS lights with a secondary red LED, a secondary UV LED would be cool.

Anyone tried the UV with the new DB glowing flood reflector?

Those were a clever use of a particular emitter, not available with other color outputs.

That wasn't actually a second led. I think it was the old Osrams would light red if you had the polarity backwards, or something like that, and Henry exploited the feature.
    Hello darkness my old friend,
I've come to talk with you again...
I liked neutral tints before they were cool.

Yes that's exactly what it was. Some of the Osrams, at one point, had a built in reverse polarity indicator. It was just beside the main emitter, on the same chip. Here's a pic of mine.

After months of using a pair of rotaries with factory settings, yesterday I finally tried my hand at programming - and I love it!! As has been said by others, it is much easier than I thought it was going to be; thank you very much to all who have said so before because it was only because of having read those posts that I had the gumption to try. My already-great appreciation of these lights has now been at least doubled.

I think they're working on it. MF means when you disable Customisation you get the Dim to Bright thing.

Oh, got it. Thanks for clarifying.

It would be really great to have a variable output on the clicky interface though. Dare I say, it would be the best iteration of the HDS EDC.

I think he was refering to the signal the light is giving for the last option in the menu, enabling/disabling programming

After reading about everyone saying how great the tint on the High Noon and 3 o’clock high emitters are, I finally caved and bought a new light. I decided on the 3 O’clock High and love it!

The 3 O'clock is a real beauty. For me the 4500K is still the grail.
