Thread: Using Olight UC with a camera battery?

Default Using Olight UC with a camera battery?

Universal LiOn chargers work with my Sony NP-BX1 battery, a 3.6V LiOn battery so I am wondering whether it's possible to use the Olight UC to charge it. I will get the Olight UC anyways for NiMH charging; I do not think it's possible to create a more compact charger and https://lygte-info.dk/review/Review%...20UC%20UK.html speaks highly of it.

Technically it should work but how would you even connect it?

https://www.amazon.com/0-3mm-Stainle.../dp/B015A39L8I maybe? I need to measure how big the terminals are but something like this ought to work. It's only 4mm outer diameter and steel so the magnets should work.

As I mentioned in the Testing smartphone batteries thread, for couple dollars or less you can buy (e.g. on eBay) generic phone battery chargers that have (pogo) pin terminals that easily adjust to fit most phone batteries. Remove the the (likely poor) electronics and you'll have a decent phone battery charging cradle. Alternatively you can use paperclips and rubberbands (e.g. see Kreisl initial post in said thread), but this is less convenient than a cradle.
