Thread: Outside flood lights?

  1. #1

    Default Outside flood lights?

The flood lights I have around the house are crap. The lights are always blowing out, they never last. Im looking for good light fixtures that will drop right into place of my old existing fixtures they are mounted on the walls of the house. The ones I have are like the cheap crap you can get at lows/homedepot. These are near the ground on the walls of the house facing up against the house, not sure why they keep going out maybe the sprinklers from getting wet. But I need something better.Thanks.

    No worries.

Traffic is a little lighter in this particular forum, so be aware it may take a bit longer for a reply, but the advice from regulars here is usually pretty helpful

If they’re facing up , that’s your problem. Water gets in & stays in. I use the cheap Lowe’s fixtures &put hue compatible led bulbs in. Last forever. Mounted high, points down.

I think that "hue" is referring to ...

    Philips Hue

Sam's club has a Honeywell LED wall light that I've had running for 3 years now, dusk till dawn. 42 watts IIRC.
