Near miss - bike light in a back pack.

Ituo WIZ 20 turn itself accidentally in my backpack. I have to use a cloth to take it out.

No, it means that they were about to be cooked :D.
The surface temperature of the light itself was 83°C.
It's assumed that if the surface temperature of the cell reaches over 80°C it might vent itself or short-circuit internally and experience thermal runaway.

A lot's depends on cell quality and internal materials - in my case they were Sanyo NCR18650GA, but still, it was close :)

Do not use or place the battery near an open flame, heater or high temperature (above 80°C). Subjecting the battery to high temperature may damage the polyolefin separator and can cause an internal short circuit. This may cause the battery to generate heat, smoke, catch fire, or explode.
